“What age are you acting? – The relativity of ages” is a waltz of full and empty. Inside of us we contain several ages, past, present, the projection of the future. We leave traces in time and are marked by time as it goes by. Do we surrender to time or do we attack it? Are we afraid of death or do we accept that everything flows?

The two protagonists bring their own personal stories on stage and stimulate the audience to enter with them into a series of images, which range from Renaissance to the contemporary age, through a deep work on the human body between dream and reality.
The performative research breaks the classic vision on performance but opens an intentionally fragmented dialogue between ideal and real, classic and modern, form and content, imperfection and constraint, decadence and perfection, putting virtuosity into comical improvisation, as a form of poetic expression of living into nothingness. The performance reveals ugliness as a necessity to open to beauty against stereotypes.
The development of the performance is based on fragility – just like a violin's string which can express in any moment dialogues between the actors and the audience, making them sound as perfect or out of tune, but nevertheless alive. This summarizes the concept of act your age according to Sivlia Gribaudi's work, in a constant imperfection which shapes itself inside the beauty of life. The eternal flow of life from birth to death aims to an active and direct relation with the audience far from clichès.

SILVIA GRIBAUDI
Winner of both the Audience Award and the Jury Award with A corpo libero (2009), shortlisted Aerowaves Dance Across Europe (2010), finalist of the Premio Equilibrio (2013).
She participated in numerous national and international festivals, among which the Biennale di Venezia Ground 0 in 2009 and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (2012). She collaborated with Israeli choreographer Sharon Fridman and she started projects of Art in Action on human rights with Anna Piratti.
DOMENICO SANTONICOLA
Discovers his passion for dance while being a soldier in the Italian Army in his mid-thirties, practicing during his free time. Becomes a professional dancer and works with several dance companies both in Italy and abroad. He works with different companies and for both private and public TV in Italy, as well as for BBC. As performer and mine, he works in several theatre and experimental events.
